Announcements can be set to not display after the expiration date has passed. This provides a convenient way of making sure your website is up to date. This should be automaticaly set up for you, but if your announcements are still displaying past their expiration date then follow the instructions below.
To set announcements to not show past the expiration date click on the white space near the announcements (see number 1 in the image below). You should see a tab labeled "LIST" in the ribbon. Click that and then click on "Modify View" in the sub-ribbon.
Scroll down to the section labeled "Filter" and fill it out as shown in the diagram below.
Finally, click on the "OK" button at the top or bottom of the page.
