​Fall Sports Parent Meeting Monday August 19th, 2019 at 6pm in the OBJH Cafeteria.

​​​​​Practices start Monday August 26th, 2019.

Cross Country - 9am at Highclimber Stadium

Cheer - 3pm OBJH Gym​

Football - 5pm at OBJH Football Field

Girls Soccer - 3pm at OBJH Soccer Fields


 

Students wishing to participate will need to provide the following documentation prior to the start of practice. 

Sports Registration Process for Grades 7-8:
Before a student can begin to participate in the competitive sports program they need to complete the registration process which includes

  • providing a copy of a current sports physical
  • purchasing an ASB card
  • filling all academic requirements
  • properly completing all athletic registration forms

Sports Participation Fee for Grades 7-8:
All student-athletes that participate in extracurricular athletics at Shelton High School and Oakland Bay Junior High School will need to purchase an ASB card from their school.  Students will still need to purchase their school's ASB card to play a sport.

Required Sports Physical for Grades 7-8:
All student-athletes playing a school sport are required to have a current sports physical on file.  Physicals are good for 24 months.  If you do not have a current physical, or it will expire before the end of sport season, you will need to obtain an updated physical from your doctor.  You may either have your family physician perform the sport physical or utilize one of the following options.  
 

Option A: The Healthcare Center (360-426-9717), corner of 8th and Railroad
 

Option B: Oakland Bay Pediatrics (360-426-3102) or Mason General Hospital Family Health (360-426-3862) offers a sports physical.  Medical coupons are accepted and families that are eligible for medical coupons through DSHS can receive assistance from either clinic in signing up for the coupons. Call their office for an appointment.
