​High School Information

  1. Much-needed high school maintenance needs would be addressed -- and, there are many such as roofs, windows, HVAC and additional necessary space, which would appropriately receive the 9th grade.
  2. The bond would allow 9th graders to directly experience the high school program academically and the co-curricular program.
  3. The new proposed addition at SHS would give space for teachers, students and parents to convene in appropriate and professional settings.
  4. The new addition at SHS would give the high school the opportunity to increase classroom space, which would include state-of-the-art, 21st century science labs and technology to better prepare our students for the future.
  5. $29,540,000 is a small price to pay to better prepare our students and accommodate 21st century teaching and learning. New high schools are being built in Washington State in excess of $100 million and even more across the country.
  6. 9th graders would be appropriately received with the new addition to the main campus and an auxiliary gymnasium.
  7. Our students, staff and community deserve an updated high school facility that improves safety and security, updates technology and supports a quality teaching and learning environment.
  8. Provides for new programming options at CHOICE, including construction trades, maker space, child care/early learning.
  9. The bond would also provide for various maintenance needs at CHOICE.
